Arkansas Ancestry Certificate
Even at a distance you can get involved in the Arkansas Genealogical Society by filling out an Arkansas Ancestry Certificate Application form and submitting it. It will benefit you by requiring you to review your research and to record your proof in an organized format that will preserve it for the ages. Your lineage will be printed in The Arkansas Family Historian to be seen by others who may share your ancestry. You will have contributed to the stock of published Arkansas family history available for future family historians.
The Arkansas Family Historian
Submit a record or an article for publication in the AGS quarterly journal. This will preserve and share a part of your family history or family records and make information available to other members and to future researchers.
- Help with the AGS Priors Indexing Project by volunteering for data entry at the Vital Records section of the Arkansas Department of Health. If you live within a reasonable driving distance of Little Rock, can type, and can spare about three hours a week between 8:00 and 4:30 Monday through Friday, your help would be greatly appreciated.
- Help out with workshops, Road Shows, and Fall Seminars. If you live in Arkansas or are planning to attend a seminar, think about volunteering to help out.
